German Language Teacher for Children in Zumikon, Zürich

Join the Global LT community and help provide language lessons to business professionals and their families worldwide. We are hiring a German (DaF) Language Teacher to provide in-person, customized lessons to our client in Zumikon.

Ref. # 196007:

• Student: A 5-year-old child who's recently relocated to Switzerland due to her father's job
• Location: Lessons are to be held at the student's home in Zumikon, Zürich (8126)
• Availability: Monday to Thursday morning (8:00am – 12:00pm), Friday evening (4:00pm - 8:00pm), Saturday and Sunday afternoon (12:00pm – 8:00pm)
• Lesson Frequency and Duration: Twice per week, 60 minutes per session
• Current German level: Complete beginner
• Native and other spoken languages: English, Hindi
• Student's language needs and goals: Hold conversations with peers to integrate in the new country. Building vocabulary (esp. school-related vocabulary). How schools work in the new country, Making friends.
• Student’s interests: Story, art, music, quizzes, animals, food
• Additional Information: She uses English at school and at home

• →Delivering tailored, dynamic, effective, and engaging lessons
• →Developing curricula based on learners’ proficiency level and desired outcomes
• →Monitoring students’ progress and guiding learners toward learning goals
• →Communicating in an efficient, effective, and professional manner

• Native or near-native written and spoken proficiency in German
• Degree or certification in language teaching, education, instructional design, writing, language, linguistics, second language acquisition, or related field
• Minimum of two years of German (DaF) teaching experience
• Experience working with children
