Teammate Onboarding Specialist

Responsible for designing, delivering, and continuously improving the new hire onboarding and training programs for all Fielmann USA retail banners. Ensure each new hire receives a consistent, high-quality onboarding experience during their first 90 days, reinforcing philosophy, CARES culture, operational excellence, and confidence in role-specific responsibilities. Partner closely with training, retail, professional services, and corporate teams to build scalable resources that support new teammates, doctors and field trainers.
Responsibilities
~3 min read- →Design and manage structured onboarding programs for all retail roles, covering the first 90 days of employment
- →Deliver engaging onboarding sessions through a blend of virtual, in-person, and on-the-job training methods
- →Ensure onboarding aligns with CARES behaviors, Fielmann philosophy, and customer-first service standards
- →Create clear onboarding roadmaps for teammates and leaders to follow during the first 90 days
- →Partner with field trainers, store managers, and leadership to ensure consistent onboarding execution across all locations
- →Partner with professional services to support doctor onboarding
- →Develop onboarding materials including facilitator guides, teammate guides, job aids, and quick reference tools
- →Create simple, easy-to-use resources that support both new hires and training leaders in-store
- →Build scenario-based learning content focused on real customer interactions and daily responsibilities
- →Develop training materials that reinforce key behaviors such as offering fully covered options, consultation flow, and patient experience standards
- →Ensure all materials reflect consistent messaging across banners and support scalable training efforts
- →Provide tools and guidance to training managers, field leadership, and store managers to support onboarding execution
- →Partner with field leadership to identify onboarding gaps and provide targeted training solutions
- →Support train-the-trainer initiatives to ensure leaders can effectively deliver onboarding content
- →Reinforce accountability for onboarding completion and quality through clear expectations and follow-up
- →Evaluate onboarding effectiveness through feedback, field observations, and performance metrics
- →Continuously update onboarding materials based on business needs, operational changes, and training insights
- →Monitor onboarding consistency across locations and identify opportunities for improvement
- →Stay current on adult learning best practices and apply to onboarding program enhancements
- →Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure onboarding supports company initiatives such as Vision Guide, EHR, and CARES adoption
- →Bachelor’s degree in HR, Education, Instructional Design or related field or equivalent work experience. Combination of education and/or equivalent work experience in a related field considered
- →3+ years of experience in training, onboarding program management, or instructional design
- →Experience designing and delivering onboarding programs in retail, healthcare, or service-based environments
- →Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS), e-learning tools, and blended learning approaches
- →Strong understanding of adult learning principles and onboarding best practices
- →Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
- →Exceptional presentation, facilitation, and delivery skills
- →Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- →Able to work at all levels of the organization
- →Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- →Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of programs
- →Ability to effectively communicate at all levels within the organization through written and two-way verbal communication
- →Able to sit or stand for extended periods of time
- →Able to operate various office equipment (e.g., personal computer, telephone, fax machine, copier, etc.)
- →Able to read and write at a high school graduate level
- →Able to lift 10 to 20 pounds
- →Able to view/read computer screen for extended periods of time
- →Able to work normal and/or extended (evenings, nights, and weekends) office hours to meet established deadlines
- →Able to travel independently to support Company objectives and personal development
- →Able to travel to meet training needs (auto, airline, overnight, etc.)
