This role will support engineering design and development activities for NVH and Acoustic treatments.

Responsibilities

→Represent NVH in packaging meeting and design gates to execute the NVH content strategy in CAD, and provide an NVH input for packaging studies
→Create NVH criteria / packaging CAD for interior acoustics, exterior acoustics, damping, baffles, sealing strategies both in 2D section and 3D to ensure the NVH is successfully integrated
→Design using 3-D modeling software, conduct layout review and 2D drawing creation.
→Analyze and resolve complex problems independently or with minimal guidance.
→Create part specification requirements and BOM.
→Negotiate with surrounding component business units and suppliers.
→Perform cost analysis, strength calculations and material selection.
→Use best practices and knowledge of internal or external business issues to improve product and/or processes.
→Search new ways to increase overall efficiency, utilize up-to-date technology, and reduce design and parts costs
→Travel to client sites required.

Requirements

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 5+ years relevant industry experience.
Education with the following specialties preferred: Mechanical, Mechanical Technology, Aerospace, Automotive, Manufacturing.
3+ years of experience doing 3D design in CATIA V6/3DX
Experience designing dashboard mats, acoustic trims, insulators, baffles, bushings, isolators etc.
Strong understanding of DFM (Design for Manufacturing) required.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

The pay range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base pay only. Actual salary offer may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and/or training, critical skills, and/or business considerations.

California Pay Range

$60—$65 USD
