• →Safely operate an automated side loader (ASL) garbage truck on residential collection routes 

• →Use automated hydraulic controls to lift and empty carts into the vehicle 

• →Complete waste and recycling collection according to established route schedules 

• →Conduct daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections 

• →Monitor vehicle operation and report maintenance concerns 

• →Navigate routes safely while complying with all DOT regulations and company policies 

• →Utilize onboard technology and route management systems 

• →Exit the vehicle when necessary to address contamination, blocked carts, missed stops or other service issues 

• →Deliver exceptional customer service and represent Granger professionally in the community 

• →Maintain accurate route documentation and complete required reports 

• Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with air brake endorsement required 

• Strong driving record with a demonstrated commitment to safety 

• Ability to perform physically demanding work, including lifting, pushing, pulling, walking and climbing throughout the workday 

• Ability to safely handle waste and recycling materials in various weather conditions 

• Strong reliability, teamwork and decision-making skills 

• Ability to pass a DOT physical and pre-employment and random drug screenings (including marijuana) 

• High school diploma or GED preferred 

• One year of commercial driving experience preferred
