Responsibilities

→Prepare patients for examinations and treatments by taking vital signs, recording medical histories, and explaining procedures.
→Assist physicians and nurses during medical examinations, procedures, and minor surgeries.
→Administer injections, medications, and vaccines under the supervision of healthcare providers.
→Perform routine laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis.
→Handle basic wound care, dressing changes, and removing sutures.
→Greet and escort patients to examination rooms, ensuring they are comfortable.
→Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.
→Provide patient education on treatments, procedures, medications, and post-care instructions.
→Assist with patient follow-up, including scheduling appointments and providing test results as directed by the healthcare provider.
→Manage patient records by accurately documenting medical histories, examination results, and treatments in electronic health records (EHR) systems.
→Schedule appointments, answer phones, and handle patient inquiries.
→Assist with billing, insurance claims, and maintaining patient accounts.
→Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring all necessary items are available for use.
→Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA and other regulatory standards.

Requirements

Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic computer software. • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Previous experience working as a Medical Assistant or in a healthcare setting.

High school diploma or GED required; additional education in medical assisting preferred.
Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) is highly desirable.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
