Associate Claims Specialist | Physical Damage

• Investigate and document accident details involving commercial vehicles and cargo losses.
• Review policy coverage and determine applicable physical damage and cargo benefits.
• Guide insureds through the claims process, including coordinating towing, recovery, cargo transfers, and repair services.
• Gather and review repair estimates, cargo evaluations, photographs, and other claim documentation.
• Establish appropriate claim reserves based on damages, exposures, and policy provisions.
• Work with independent adjusters to obtain inspections, photographs, and other necessary information.
• Collaborate with attorneys and other business partners to address coverage concerns and resolve claim issues.
• Negotiate settlements and issue timely claim payments.
• Identify subrogation and salvage opportunities.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with company standards and industry regulations.

On-Call Support

• Participate in an after-hours rotation to assist with emergency physical damage and cargo loss reports.
• Coordinate towing, recovery, and cargo transfer arrangements when necessary.

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.
• Previous claims experience, commercial insurance knowledge, or trucking industry exposure preferred but not required.
• Strong problem-solving, investigation, and decision-making skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong customer service mindset with a commitment to helping others.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational and documentation skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information professionally.
