As a Special Education Teacher at Green Tree School & Services, you’ll play a key role in helping students with behavioral, emotional, and developmental needs build the skills and confidence to succeed. You’ll design and deliver individualized instruction, foster a supportive classroom environment, and collaborate closely with therapists, counselors, and families to promote each student’s academic, social, and emotional growth.
Active Pennsylvania Teaching Certification, such as a Private Academic Certificate or Level I/II PA Instructional Special Education Certification (K–12)
Candidates with a bachelor’s degree and at least six credit hours in special education may qualify for a Temporary Private Academic Certificate
Authorization to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
Strong collaboration and communication skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Commitment to inclusive practices, student safety, and professional growth

Develop and implement IEPs, lesson plans, and instructional strategies tailored to each student’s individual goals

Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, progress reports, and evaluation summaries

Collaborate with therapists, counselors, and families to support student progress and consistency across settings
- →
Manage classroom structure and implement behavior support strategies to promote positive outcomes

Conduct assessments, track progress, and monitor behavior data to inform instruction and interventions
