This role will require being full-time onsite at our Toronto office to support collaborative team dynamics and innovative problem-solving.

We're looking for a Software Engineer to join our Growth team and help shape the future of custody, growth, and mobile products. Responsibilities

→Architect and build high-scale APIs, libraries, and services that power custody and growth products used by the world's most sophisticated crypto institutions
→Take full ownership of features from whiteboard to production, including customer integration and post-launch iteration
→Design and document developer-facing APIs that delight third-party builders and internal teams alike
→Ship with AI at your side. Leverage LLMs, AI coding agents, and intelligent tooling to dramatically accelerate design, implementation, and review cycles
→Partner with PMs, designers, and engineers across the stack to define and deliver experiences that raise the bar
→Write code you're proud of: clean, well-tested, and built to last
→Hunt down performance bottlenecks, squash bugs, and leave the codebase better than you found it
→Mentor peers through code reviews, architectural guidance, and a culture of continuous craft improvement
→Stay ahead of the curve. Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies (including new AI tooling) that make the team faster and the product better

3+ years of backend/server-side engineering experience, with a track record of shipping production systems at scale
Sharp instincts for algorithm design, problem decomposition, and complexity tradeoffs
Fluency with AI-assisted development. You actively use tools like GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or Claude to accelerate your workflow, and you know when to trust them and when not to
Experience prompting and integrating LLMs into development workflows: code generation, test writing, documentation, and debugging assistance
Familiarity with AI agent frameworks or autonomous coding tools and how to supervise, evaluate, and course-correct their outputs
Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL and MongoDB in production environments
Deep expertise in RESTful API design and the principles behind great developer experience
Practical experience with microservices and service-oriented architectures
Solid testing discipline - unit, integration, and functional coverage as a first-class concern
Strong Git/GitHub workflow hygiene: branching strategies, code review culture, CI/CD pipelines
Ability to move fast, make decisions under ambiguity, and recalibrate quickly
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related technical field
Genuine curiosity about and understanding of cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology

Nice to Have

Experience building institutional crypto products (custody, wallets, trading infrastructure)
Proven track record shipping and maintaining public-facing production APIs
Strong command of Golang, Kotlin or TypeScript, Node.js, and Express
Full-stack capability with React, comfortable owning a feature end-to-end
Experience working directly with clients or business partners to shape requirements
Familiarity with any of: digital wallets, KYB/onboarding flows, growth platforms, or mobile crypto UX
Experience evaluating or fine-tuning AI models for domain-specific tasks

Pay Transparency Notice: Depending upon your leveling and location, the compensation for this role averages between $160,000 - 200,000 CAD base salary. Equity, an annual performance bonus and employee benefits are also a part of this role's package.
