Role Summary: Senior consulting leader driving enterprise technology transformation, shaping executive decisions and leading complex delivery at scale.

At The Gunter Group (TGG), we are a people-first management consulting firm and proud 20-time workplace award winner. We build trusted partnerships with our clients by working alongside their teams. Together, we deliver practical solutions and lasting impact across strategy, execution, people, and technology. We show up ready to roll up our sleeves, solve complex problems, and make a real difference together.

As a Managing Consultant at The Gunter Group, you operate as a senior, technology-fluent consulting leader who owns outcomes across large, multi-stakeholder initiatives, with a primary focus on leadership and orchestration.

You partner closely with executive leaders to shape critical decisions, align business and technology priorities, and sustain momentum across complex delivery environments over the life of the engagement.

  • Lead large, complex, multi-stakeholder initiatives across technology-enabled transformation, modernization, data, and AI/ML programs as a billable engagement leader.
  • Ensure strong executive alignment, decision clarity, and delivery against business objectives for enterprise-scale engagements.
  • Direct cross-functional teams across program management, data, technology, and design, setting direction and resolving ambiguity.
  • Shape and lead complex programs or workstreams, balancing competing priorities to deliver measurable business results.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior client leaders, guiding critical decisions and surfacing trade-offs across scope, timing, cost, risk, and organizational readiness.
  • Support and challenge technology and architecture strategies using business judgment, systems thinking, and delivery experience.
  • Help leaders establish and mature enterprise data practices, including governance, ownership, and stewardship, to enable scalable, modern data capabilities.
  • Sustain alignment across business and technology stakeholders throughout multi-year programs.
  • Own key client accounts, providing strong governance, strategic alignment, and consistently high-quality delivery.
  • Build trusted client relationships that enable long-term partnerships and expansion of technology-focused consulting engagements.
  • Partner with TGG leadership to identify and pursue new opportunities, contributing to business development and growth in the Nashville market.
  • Manage, coach, and develop TGG consultants, strengthening delivery excellence and supporting long-term professional growth.
  • Provide leadership and mentorship that enables teams to thrive in complex, ambiguous environments.
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture focused on quality outcomes and continuous improvement.
  • 8+ years of experience, including 5+ years in consulting or a related leadership role, with a strong record of leading client engagements and teams.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-scale, technology-enabled transformation initiatives and deliver tangible business results.
  • Demonstrated success guiding executive decision-making and managing complex stakeholder environments.
  • Experience owning client accounts and strengthening long-term partnerships.
  • Expertise in technology-enabled transformation, including areas such as digital modernization, data and analytics, cloud platforms, AI/ML, and human-centered solution design.
  • Strong communication, facilitation, and presentation skills, with the ability to convey grounded confidence to senior audiences.
  • Intellectual curiosity and a strong understanding of current business and market trends within professional services.
  • A strong professional network and demonstrated ability to contribute to business development efforts.
