The Henry County Sheriff’s Office is seeking candidates for current and future Deputy Sheriff positions including opportunities in Corrections, Patrol, Investigations, and specialty teams such as SWAT, ERT, Precision Rifle, Dive, Drone/Robot, Hostage Negotiations, and K9. The Professional Standards Division takes great pride in maintaining the Department’s VLEPSC accreditation, a distinction held since 2011.
Applicants must be at least 21 years old. Qualified candidates must have a HS diploma or equivalent and a valid VA driver’s license. Successful candidates must have the ability to perform the essential functions of the position and pass a background check as well as a physical, written, drug and other tests that are relevant to the position to be considered. The minimum starting salary July 1, 2025 is $49,039 plus excellent benefits. EOE
