Pay

HK$63,103 to HK$143,298 (HGPS 25 - 44) per month including Monthly Allowance.

Up to 15% of total basic salary (after deducting the contribution of Mandatory Provident Fund by Hospital Authority) as contract gratuity may be offered to contract staff at the end of each 3 years during the 9-year contract period subject to satisfactory performance.

Job

For posts in Hospitals

1.      Perform and supervise the medication-use process.

2.      Direct the development, implementation and maintenance of clinical pharmacy services.

3.    Plan, develop and deliver educational/training and development programs for pharmacy staff and other health care professionals.

4.      Assist the Department Manager/Senior Pharmacist in the development and operation of pharmaceutical service.

For posts in SPO, HAHO

1.      Assist in developing a Community Drug Formulary to support relevant clinical strategic purchasing programmes.

2.      Provide professional and executive support to relevant drug committees and clinical expert panels.

3.    Assist in planning and coordinating the development of community pharmacy projects.

4.      Liaise with relevant stakeholders to establish new pharmaceutical service delivery model.

5.      Assist the Senior Pharmacist to perform duties of SPO.

Requirements

1.     A Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Hong Kong.

2.     4 years’ post-registration experience as a pharmacist# or 2 years’ post-registration experience as a pharmacist# plus a relevant postgraduate professional degree or equivalent.

#Experience acquired as a pharmacist after registration with recognised overseas registration authorities but prior to registration with the Pharmacy and Poisons Board of Hong Kong can also be accepted as post-registration experience.

Preferred Attributes / Exposure

1.     Good interpersonal and communication skills.

2.     Fluency in written and spoken English and Chinese.

3.     Experience as a hospital pharmacist (for posts in Hospitals).

4.     High proficiency in computer system commonly used in the Hospital Authority (for posts in Hospitals).

5.     High proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and database commonly used in the Hospital Authority (for posts in SPO).

6.     Relevant experience in development and maintenance of Hospital Authority Drug Formulary (for posts in SPO).

7.     Relevant experience in providing administrative support to Drug Management Committees and clinical expert panels (for posts in SPO).
