Senior Pharmacist [For HA Serving Staff Only]

1.      Ensure the provision of optimal pharmaceutical services.

2.      Formulate, lead and coordinate all activities related to medication-use process.

3.    Oversee and direct clinical pharmacy practices.

4.      Develop and establish pharmaceutical care plans, and services through multidisciplinary efforts.

5.      Provide advice/timely decision, and judgement to special clinical problems that are of different levels of urgency and complexity.

6.      Handle complaints and all medication incidents.

7.      Promote and support all pharmacy practice and clinical research.

8.      Contribute to innovation, advancements and improvements in pharmacy practice.

9.    Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).

1.      A Certificate of Registration and a valid Practising Certificate issued by the Pharmacy and Poisons Board, Hong Kong.

2.      5 years’ experience as a hospital pharmacist 2 years of which should be in HA institutions.

1.      A relevant postgraduate professional or management degree.

2.      Experience relevant to HA pharmaceutical services.

3.    Good knowledge of the operation of the pharmaceutical services and its relation to other departments under the HA.

4.      Good clinical professional knowledge and keep abreast of innovation in the pharmaceutical field.

5.      Able to manage staff as well as to lead, plan, develop and operate a major pharmacy service.

6.      Good communication skills.

7.      Fluency in written English and Chinese as well as spoken English and Cantonese.

8.      Evidence of recent continuous professional development including research, teaching and training.

2.    The selected candidate will be posted to Queen Elizabeth Hospital / Kwong Wah Hospital and may be required to work in another location to meet the service needs of the HA.

3.    The service of Queen Elizabeth Hospital will be relocated to the Kai Tak Hospital in phases starting from year 2026.
