What We Offer

✓Oversee machine sales through the respective management teams in San Diego and the Pacific Islands and support the teams to achieve annual growth targets.
✓Establish appropriate levels of sales coverage for the territory and position team to achieve customer experience goals.
✓Manage on-board and off-board technology solutions to provide customers with options for improved site management.
✓Engage with SITECH to expand technology offerings and site solutions for customers.
✓Engage with Caterpillar to develop go-to-market strategies.
✓Effectively supervise the sales team's performance and their territory assignments.
✓Coach and develop sales and machine operator training teams. Manage quarterly SalesPro scorecard and develop individual learning plans.
✓Gather, communicate, and respond to market intelligence - develop solutions to counteract competitive activity and achieve business plan.
✓Interface with Inventory Manager to establish retail levels, asset turnover strategy for all locations.
✓Coordinate and administer Caterpillar programs. Interface with the District Reps and Caterpillar in a way that optimizes their engagement and participation as it relates to supporting our goals.
✓Work with Marketing to ensure we are actively marketing, advertising, and connecting with customers effectively on campaigns and to provide solutions.
✓Promote, sell, and secure new business, including major accounts.
✓Direct the demonstration of products and services and assist prospects in the selection of those best suited to their needs.
✓Work with the team to establish used equipment growth strategy and execution plan.
✓Conduct any other duty deemed necessary by the Vice President.
- Must have High School Diploma or Equivalent. College Degree preferred.
- Must have 10 years minimum experience in sales within the earthmoving industry.
- Must have management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Must have a positive attitude and be a self-starter.
- Must be organized and a good planner.
- Ability to set and meet goals.
- Experience with Microsoft Office suite.
- Caterpillar Dealer Management Experience preferred.
- PC skills required.
- Must have a valid California Class C Drivers License.
- Walking and moving about on foot often up and down stairs.
- Handling: Seizes, helps or works with hands.
- Lifting: Lifts no more than 25 lbs.
- Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
- Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
- Standing: Remains in standing position if required to perform various functions of the job.
- Vision: Read computer and paperwork.
- Talking: Communications by phone and in person.
- Sitting: Sits at desk. Sits for long periods of time.
- Climbing: Climb on and off earthmoving machines.
- Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
- Temp/Weather: Works in an office environment and also travels to job sites.
