The Service and Maintenance Technician – Power Systems/Rental - will with minimal supervision; perform duties as assigned by management in the repair, maintenance and/or rebuilding of equipment in the service shop or field, in a safe, efficient and capable manner in the least amount of labor hours necessary, and without rework. All the necessary tooling for this position will be supplied along with the opportunity for training and growth.

Advanced Technical Training
Estimated Compensation $28.00 - $32.00 per hour
  1. Cleans equipment by operating wash rack steam cleaner and high-pressure washer.
  2. Maintains safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
  3. Ensures proper operation of equipment by completing maintenance services and minor repairs; following manufacturer’s instructions.
  4. Determines condition of equipment by inspecting equipment before and after use; reporting requirements.
  5. Performs regular service and preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to keep in safe, dependable operating condition ensuring proper operations and the removal of parts and attachments.
  6. Takes fluid samples and processes them to travel to the Lab.
  7. Develops and maintains positive relationships with customers to increase overall customer satisfaction.
  8. Completes reports as requested by entering required information.
  9. Continually updates product knowledge.
  10. Contributes to a team effort by accomplishing duties needed.
  11. Maintains tools, equipment, and work areas.
  12. Informs management and other team members of pertinent information such as procedures, policies, changes received from other employees, customers, or factory reps if deemed appropriate.
  13. Other duties as assigned.

 

  1.     High school diploma or equivalent
  2.     Prefer to have one of the following:
  •     Successful completion of apprenticeship program
  •     At least 1 years or work experience in the industry
  1.     Must have valid CA Class C Driver’s License with a clean driving record.
  2.     Must be a good communicator and have good customer service skills.
  3.     Proficient in computer skills such as Microsoft Word.

 

  1. Walking and moving about on foot often through uneven terrain.
  2. Hands/arms operating equipment, hand and power tools.
  3. Lifting: Up to 50 daily, frequent exertion. Raises or lowers miscellaneous equipment parts and tools.
  4. Handling: Works with hands.
  5. Reaching: Extends hands and arms in any direction.
  6. Standing: Remains in standing position if required for certain repair or maintenance w Climbing: In and out of equipment, tight spaces or vessels.
  7. Vision: Reads work tickets, parts and service books and may operate heavy equipment.
  8. Talking: Communicates via telecommunications and in person.
  9. Sitting: Sits in equipment and in vehicles.
  10. Stooping: Bends body downward and forward by bending at knees or waist.
  11. Hearing: Hears well enough to discern mechanical problems for safety in and around shop and jobsites and to receives communications via telecommunications and in person.
  12. Laying: Lies in prone position under vehicles and equipment and in tight spaces.

 

  1. Noise: Works in conditions with constant or intermittent noise.
  2. Temperatures/Weather: Works in a warehouse and outside with variations of temperature and weather.
  3. Exposure:  Foul odors, fumes and harsh substances.
