Hiring a Senior Night Auditor

The Senior Night Auditor is responsible for performing front desk duties, guest service interactions, and daily financial reconciliation procedures during the overnight shift. This includes closing the day’s accounts, balancing financials, compiling reports, and ensuring a seamless transition between business days. Night Auditors use Opera Cloud, Micros, Salto, Excel, Teams, and Word to complete their tasks. In the absence of the Night Manager the Senior Night Auditor acts as Manager on Duty.

The Senior Night Auditor will report directly to the Night Manager.

The Employee’s responsibilities shall include, among other things, the following:

• Balancing and closing the hotel’s daily financials, including performing manual postings and report generation.
• Operating front desk systems including Opera Cloud and Micros to manage reservations, check-ins, and check-outs.
• Responding to guest queries, requests, and complaints in a professional and efficient manner.
• Ensuring night shift tasks are completed in accordance with hotel policies and procedures.
• Preparing and distributing financial and operational reports to relevant departments.
• Performing security checks and monitoring guest and staff safety overnight.
• Collaborating with other departments to resolve issues or fulfil requests.
• Always maintaining a professional appearance and service standard.
• Taking responsibility as acting Manager on Duty when senior overnight management is not present.
• Supporting a culture of accountability, accuracy, and exceptional guest service.
