We’re looking for an HR Generalist who is energized by people, thrives in fast-paced environments, and wants to play a meaningful role in supporting employees across the business.
This is an opportunity to be at the center of the employee experience - from welcoming new hires on day one to supporting leaders and employees through the moments that matter most. You’ll partner across operational teams, contribute to key HR initiatives, and help drive an engaging, people-first culture within a dynamic media environment. This role reports directly to the Director of Human Resources.

Essential Functions & Key Responsibilities:
Be a Trusted HR Partner
• Serve as a go-to resource for employees and managers on HR policies, processes, and employee support.
• Partner with leaders across operational teams, including printing operations and other fast-paced business areas.
• Support employee relations matters, investigations, performance concerns, and policy interpretation with professionalism and discretion.
Create Exceptional Employee Experiences
• Lead onboarding efforts that help new employees feel welcomed, prepared, and connected from day one.
• Manage offboarding processes with care and attention to detail, including exit interviews and separation coordination.
• Support a culture where employees feel informed, supported, and valued.
Drive Operational Excellence
• Maintain and manage employee data within Oracle HRIS, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Process employee changes including promotions, transfers, compensation updates, and terminations.
• Support payroll-related activities, reporting, organizational charts, and HR operational processes.
Support Compliance & Labor Relations
• Help ensure compliance with employment laws, company policies, and collective bargaining agreements.
• Support labor relations administration and maintain accurate HR documentation and records.
Contribute to Continuous Improvement
• Participate in HR projects, process improvements, and initiatives that enhance the employee and manager experience.
• Help modernize and streamline HR processes in a collaborative, evolving environment.
What You Bring:
• 2–4 years of HR experience in a fast-paced or operational environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to navigate sensitive situations with professionalism and confidentiality.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Experience working with HRIS systems (Oracle preferred).
• A collaborative, solutions-oriented mindset and willingness to jump in where needed.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience supporting unionized environments or collective bargaining agreements.
• Background in media, manufacturing, printing operations, or newsroom environments.
• HR certification (PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP/SCP).
• Knowledge of employment law and HR best practices.
