For over 50 years, Hope For Youth has provided life-changing services to children, youth, and families across Long Island. We are seeking a compassionate and committed Multi-Dimensional Family Therapy (MDFT) Therapist to join our Juvenile Justice Services Program-a family-focused, evidence-based intervention designed to transform lives and reduce recidivism.

The Juvenile Justice Services Program supports up to 40 youth annually-referred by the Nassau County Probation Department-including PINS, JD-RTA, and Adolescent Offenders. Using the SAMHSA-approved MDFT model, we provide clinical treatment to address substance abuse, behavioral challenges, and family dynamics.

Responsibilities

As an MDFT Therapist, you will carry a caseload of up to 10 clients and be responsible for:

Developing clinical treatment plans based on assessments and intakes.

Providing individual and family therapy using the MDFT model.
→
Delivering trauma-informed care in homes, the community, and office settings.
→
Participating in interdisciplinary team meetings and case reviews.
→
Attending required training and professional development in MDFT and other evidence-based models.
→
Completing case documentation and electronic medical records accurately and timely.
→
Performing other duties to meet client, agency, and regulatory requirements.
