Holy Innocents’ Episcopal School (HIES) is seeking Lower School Substitute Teachers for the 2025-2026 academic year. Multiple positions are available. Substitute Teachers will work on an as-needed basis based on availability. Interested applicants should be able to supervise a wide variety of grade levels. Experience teaching, tutoring and/or working with youth will be preferred.

Responsibilities

→Support students by leading small groups, individual instruction, and in some cases, whole class lessons utilizing effective classroom management techniques
→Assist lead teachers with classroom supervision
→Manage attendance reporting and other duties as assigned

Position Requirements:

→High School diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred
→Demonstrated flexibility and responsiveness to a variety of learning styles
→Ethical behavior, professionalism, and respect for diversity
→Regular and reliable attendance
→Successful completion of pre-employment background screening, drug testing and safety training required.
