The Sr. Director, IT reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for leading all enterprise-wide technology strategy, operations, and service delivery.
*"This role will initially be based in our Needham, MA office. In the Summer of 2026, the position will transition to our Norwood, MA location and will follow our Hybrid Work Schedule**
💰 Pay Range: $225,000 – $280,000 annually (based on experience and qualifications)
The Sr. Director, IT reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for leading all enterprise-wide technology strategy, operations, and service delivery. This role partners closely with Sales, Operations, and the Corporate and Executive functions to drive technology modernization, ensure cybersecurity and compliance, and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization. The role is a key member of the senior leadership team, overseeing applications, infrastructure, cybersecurity, data governance, and end-user services.
Responsibilities

- Define and execute a 1–3 year IT strategy and roadmap aligned to company goals, balancing modernization with operational stability.
- Establish technology governance: architecture principles, security standards, vendor management, and cost/benefit discipline.
- Own the strategy and lifecycle for ERP (Microsoft D365) and connected systems (Aptean MES, Safety Chain, Trace Gains), including upgrades, integrations, and solution design for Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, and R&D.
- Lead master data governance, ensuring quality, ownership, and controls for items, customers, vendors, pricing, and BOMs.
- Drive workflow simplification and automation; champion business ownership of processes and superuser networks.
- Own the enterprise cybersecurity program: risk assessment, controls framework, SOC activities, identity/access, OT/plant security, incident response, and training.
- Ensure compliance and audit readiness for financial systems and customer/partner requirements.
- Oversee the strategy and governance for high-availability infrastructure, including plant/corporate connectivity, resilient compute/storage (on-prem and cloud), and disciplined patching/lifecycle management programs.
- Direct IT service management strategy and governance, establishing SLA/OLA frameworks and ensuring disciplined execution across all sites.
- Own IT vendor portfolio; negotiate contracts and manage performance.
- Build and manage IT budget, partnering with Finance on planning and monthly performance management.
- Build, mentor, lead, and inspire a high-performing IT team across applications, infrastructure, security, and data.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, continuous improvement, and professional growth.
- Champion adoption and continuous improvement of advanced technology systems, tools, and analytics.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. MBA is a plus.
- 12+ years of progressive IT leadership, including ownership of ERP ecosystems in manufacturing or CPG
- Hands-on experience leading Microsoft D365 implementations/upgrades in manufacturing/CPG preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to partner with senior leadership across Sales, Operations, and Corporate functions.
- Expertise in technology strategy, operations, cybersecurity, and business case development.
- Experience designing and implementing technology solutions for business teams.
- Experience supporting vendor evaluation and due diligence processes.
- Advanced systems, infrastructure, and analytics skills.
- Drive innovation by identifying opportunities across solution delivery and emerging technologies. Evaluate advanced AI capabilities (including generative and agentic AI), data products, system integrations, software, hardware, and communication protocols. Assess applicability, feasibility, and associated risks to ensure strategic alignment and value creation
- Nice to have AI related experience integrating AI agents in workflows.

- Proven ability to cultivate high-performing teams.
