If you are our R&D Software (Embedded) Engineer in Singapore, you will have a chance to: * Codes and programs enhancements, updates, and changes for portions and subsystems of firmware, including application and driver level code. * Executes established test plans and protocols for assigned portions of code; identifies, logs, and debugs assigned issues. * Develops understanding of and relationship with local and worldwide development partners on firmware design and development. * Participates as a member of project team of firmware engineers to develop innovative, reliable, cost effective and high-quality solutions enterprise class printing products. * Collaborates and communicates with management, internal, and outsourced development partners regarding firmware design status, project progress, and issue resolution. * Provides guidance and mentoring to less- experienced staff members. Are you a high performer? We are looking for an individual with: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent. * Typically, 10 - 16 years’ experience. * Good analytical and problem-solving skills. * Understanding of firmware and hardware design principles. * Expertise in firmware development languages such as C/C++ and Assembly * Understanding of basic testing, coding, and debugging procedures. * Understanding of firmware development tools and infrastructure, including source control (GIT, Subversion, etc.), Application lifecycle management (Jira, TFS, etc.) and code integration in an enterprise development environment. * Prior experience on printer firmware development will be an added advantage Preferred Certifications • Programming Language/s Certification (Java, C++, Python, JavaScript, or similar) Knowledge & Skills • Agile Methodology • Amazon Web Services • Angular (Web Framework) • Application Programming Interface (API) • Automation • Computer Science • DevOps • Docker (Software) • Full Stack Development • Java (Programming Language) • JavaScript (Programming Language) • Kubernetes • Microservices • Microsoft Azure • Python (Programming Language) • React.js • Scalability • Software Development • Software Engineering • SQL (Programming Language) Cross-Org Skills • Effective Communication • Results Orientation • Learning Agility • Digital Fluency • Customer Centricity Impact & Scope • Impacts function and leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and may participate in cross-functional initiatives.
