Role Overview

The Finance Associate Manager – Financial Accounting is responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial records, and supporting timely financial reporting activities. The role also handles tax and statutory compliance requirements while assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and overall financial analysis to support business operations and decision-making.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license is required
• At least 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in corporate accounting, financial reporting, or external/internal audit; should also have experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
• Strong background in general accounting operations, account reconciliations, and financial statement preparation
• Knowledgeable in tax compliance, including preparation and filing of government-mandated returns and reports
• Familiarity with financial controls, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements
• Experience in purchase requisition processing or related procurement support is an advantage
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
• Able to manage multiple deadlines and work effectively in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and support daily accounting operations, ensuring complete, accurate, and timely recording of financial transactions
• Maintain and monitor the general ledger, including preparation and review of journal entries, schedules, and account reconciliations
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records in compliance with accounting standards and internal policies
• Prepare supporting schedules, balance sheet reconciliations, and other financial documentation required for reporting and audit purposes
• Handle the timely preparation and filing of tax returns and other statutory compliance requirements with government agencies
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors by providing necessary financial data, schedules, and supporting documents
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities through financial analysis, variance monitoring, and reporting
• Assist in monitoring expenditures, purchase requisitions, and related financial transactions to ensure proper documentation and approval processes
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and support initiatives that enhance accounting efficiency and internal controls
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address financial concerns, reporting requirements, and operational accounting matters
