Role Overview

The Engineering Manager will lead the overall engineering function of the manufacturing plant, ensuring the reliability, safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement of plant facilities, equipment, and utilities. The role requires a hands-on engineering leader with strong manufacturing and plant operations experience, with the potential to grow into a broader plant leadership role.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Electronics Engineering (ECE); professional license is highly preferred.
• 10 to 15 years of engineering experience, including at least 10 years in a manufacturing or industrial plant environment and 5 years in senior engineering/leadership roles.
• Strong background in plant engineering and manufacturing operations, preferably within FMCG, pharmaceutical, or other large-scale manufacturing companies.
• Proven experience managing the overall engineering function of a manufacturing plant, rather than focusing solely on a specific engineering discipline.
• Experience supporting or managing engineering functions across multiple plants/facilities is highly preferred.
• Strong technical knowledge across key plant engineering areas, particularly mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities, facilities, and equipment maintenance.
• GMP experience is required, with a strong understanding of manufacturing standards, processes, and regulatory requirements.
• Must have exposure to EHS and ESG programs, compliance, and initiatives within a manufacturing environment.
• Strong hands-on experience in plant operations and manufacturing processes, with the ability to work closely with production and plant-level teams.
• Willingness to travel to different locations within and outside the Philippines.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall engineering function of the manufacturing plant, ensuring reliable, safe, efficient, and uninterrupted plant operations.
• Oversee engineering activities across mechanical, electrical, HVAC, utilities, facilities, equipment maintenance, and other plant engineering functions.
• Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs, equipment reliability initiatives, and engineering improvement plans.
• Partner closely with Production, Quality, EHS, Supply Chain, and other plant functions to address operational requirements, resolve engineering issues, and minimize downtime.
• Ensure engineering activities and plant facilities comply with GMP, EHS, ESG, regulatory, safety, and quality requirements.
• Lead the planning and execution of capital projects, equipment upgrades, plant improvements, expansion projects, and other engineering initiatives.
• Monitor plant engineering performance, identify operational risks, and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve reliability and efficiency.
• Drive continuous improvement, cost optimization, energy/utilities efficiency, and engineering best practices across the plant.
• Lead, coach, and develop the engineering team, ensuring technical capability, performance, and effective manpower deployment.
• Provide technical recommendations and engineering support to plant leadership and contribute to long-term plant improvement and operational strategies.
