Construction Mechanical Engineer | Oil & Gas | KSA

We are looking for an experienced Construction Mechanical Engineer to oversee and coordinate mechanical construction activities for Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, and Refinery projects in Saudi Arabia.

The candidate will be responsible for ensuring that mechanical construction activities are executed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, project schedules, quality standards, and client requirements.

  Supervise and coordinate mechanical construction and installation activities at project sites.

  Ensure execution of mechanical works as per approved drawings, specifications, method statements, and project schedules.

• →

  Coordinate with Construction Managers, Planning, Engineering, QA/QC, HSE, Procurement, and subcontractor teams.

• →

  Monitor daily construction progress and ensure activities are completed within the planned schedule.

• →

  Supervise mechanical installation activities including equipment installation, piping, valves, pumps, compressors, tanks, and related mechanical systems.

• →

  Review engineering drawings, specifications, material requirements, and construction documents.

• →

  Coordinate with subcontractors and ensure proper allocation of manpower, equipment, and materials.

• →

  Monitor site activities and resolve technical and construction-related issues in coordination with engineering teams.

• →

  Ensure all mechanical works comply with approved quality standards, specifications, and client requirements.

• →

  Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspections, testing, and completion of mechanical works.

• →

  Ensure strict compliance with HSE requirements, permit-to-work procedures, and site safety standards.

• →

  Participate in site meetings, progress meetings, and coordination meetings with clients and contractors.

• →

  Prepare and submit daily, weekly, and monthly construction progress reports.

• →

  Identify potential delays and coordinate with the planning team for corrective and recovery actions.

• →

  Support pre-commissioning, commissioning, shutdown, turnaround, and maintenance activities, where applicable.

• →

  Ensure proper documentation, punch-list clearance, as-built information, and project handover activities.

• →

  Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in Mechanical Construction.

• →

  Strong experience in Oil & Gas / Petrochemical / Refinery projects.

• →

  Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification.

• →

  Strong hands-on experience in mechanical construction and site execution.

• →

  Shutdown & Turnaround experience is highly preferred.

• →

  Experience in equipment installation, piping, mechanical systems, and associated construction activities.

• →

  Candidates with Saudi Arabia / GCC experience will be preferred.

  Good knowledge of construction procedures, specifications, drawings, and safety requirements.

  Strong coordination, supervision, and problem-solving skills.

• →

  Good English communication and reporting skills.
