We are currently hiring an experienced Mechanical Engineer for a leading Oil & Gas project.
Requirements

Develop and implement preventive and predictive maintenance programs for offshore mechanical equipment using CMMS. Lead reliability engineering activities including RCA, RCM, FMECA, and bad actor management. Conduct failure analysis, optimize asset performance, and support offshore operations by ensuring compliance with maintenance best practices and industry standards.
2. Main Responsibilities
Policies, Processes & Procedures
Apply approved section policies, processes, and procedures to ensure effective execution of offshore mechanical reliability programs.
Assist in developing policies related to mechanical maintenance, asset integrity, and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM).
Ensure alignment with international standards and company maintenance procedures.
Support integration of mechanical reliability data into CMMS to track failure trends and optimize maintenance planning.
Oversee preventive and predictive maintenance activities for offshore mechanical equipment including:
Pumps
Compressors
Turbines
Heat exchangers
Conduct routine condition monitoring using:
Vibration analysis
Thermography
Lube oil diagnostics
Coordinate with Predictive Maintenance section to align condition monitoring programs with asset reliability objectives.
Coordinate with offshore operations, maintenance supervisors, and workshop teams for effective work execution.
Develop and review technical specifications for preventive maintenance programs.
Prepare scope of work, specifications, and technical evaluations for reliability improvement projects.
Implement Failure Modes, Effects and Criticality Analysis (FMECA).
Analyze failure trends and recommend engineering corrective actions.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and supervise complex repair activities carried out by vendors.
Recommend on-the-job training for technicians for specialized tasks through the training department.
Prepare and review scope of work, specifications, drawings, and tender documents.
Review technical documents submitted by project departments.
Establish specifications for new materials and spare parts for vendor quotations.
Evaluate vendor bids and proposals.
Monitor contractor work to ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions.
Report discrepancies between contract requirements and actual work performed.
Develop and recommend improved methods for safe and efficient operations.
Evaluate and recommend new technologies for operations.
Coordinate with other departments to verify engineering outputs and equipment construction.
Inspect job sites to ensure safe working conditions and good housekeeping.
Prepare accurate departmental reports according to company standards.
Analyze and submit reports to inform management about maintenance progress.
Ensure compliance with all safety, health, and environmental procedures.
