About the Role

~1 min read

As a Technical Project Manager, you have overall responsibility for leading and driving technically complex development projects – from idea and concept to industrialization and serial production. You play a key role in ensuring essential technical decisions, structure and quality throughout the entire development process.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Leading and managing technical development projects with responsibility for scope, time, cost and quality
  • Ensuring robust technology and architecture decisions in line with product and market requirements
  • Driving requirements management, risk management and technical decision-making
  • Working closely with overall project managers, R&D line managers, and other internal and external stakeholders
  • Following up project results from both technical and financial perspectives
  • Contributing strategically to the development and improvement of R&D processes and ways of working

Depending on your background and experience, you will either step into the role as an experienced Technical Project Manager or grow into the responsibility with support from experienced colleagues and established development processes. The role offers a unique opportunity to combine technical expertise with leadership and broaden your impact across the entire product development lifecycle.

Husqvarna Group is a global company, and the work is carried out in close collaboration with suppliers and development units around the world. You therefore need to be communicative, collaborative and confident in an international context. With a strong customer focus, you are expected to translate user needs into sustainable, cost-efficient and robust technical solutions.

To succeed in this role, you are analytical, structured and solution oriented. You demonstrate clear leadership, strong decision-making skills and thrive in combining technical depth with project responsibility.

We are looking for a confident technical project manager with strong drive and a holistic perspective. You have:

  • A Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electronics or Mechatronics
  • At least 5 years of experience in product development in an industrial environment
  • Experience in technical project management or leading roles in development projects or informal leadership responsibilities leading technical initiatives, coordinating cross-functional workstreams, driving technical decisions or acting as a lead engineer
  • Excellent proficiency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written

Experience in system architecture and system requirements, battery-powered products, high-volume production, mechanical CAD (preferably CATIA V5) and working in global development and supplier networks is considered a strong merit.
