POSITION SUMMARY

The AI Analyst supports the hands-on deployment and adoption of AI solutions across IFG's business systems and operations. This role sits at the intersection of technical implementation, business application support, and change enablement. This position works closely with business stakeholders and the IT team to configure, test, and embed AI tools into existing workflows, helping ensure that AI investments translate into real operational value. As IFG undergoes a significant technology transformation including EAM modernization and expanded AI adoption, this role will provide hands-on support to help that change land successfully.

SALARY RANGE: Starts at $75,000 per year and increases based on experience

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

  • Support the configuration, testing, and rollout of AI tools and capabilities across business functions including operations, finance, supply chain, and production.
  • Build and maintain LLM-based automations for document processing, workflow support, and internal knowledge retrieval.
  • Assist in prototyping and validating AI use cases in partnership with business stakeholders, helping move from proof-of-concept to production.
  • Develop reports that surface AI-generated insights to end users.
  • Monitor deployed AI solutions for performance, accuracy, and adoption, and help iterate based on user feedback.
  • Support department leaders and change management efforts to drive user adoption during system rollouts
  • Provide day-to-day coaching and support to power users and departmental champions
  • Other duties as needed.
  • Support core business applications including ERP, data warehouse, and ETL/EDI integrations as part of ongoing AI enablement.
  • Assist with ERP implementation activities including configuration support, data validation, and user acceptance testing.
  • Troubleshoot application and integration issues; coordinate with vendors to resolve problems quickly.
  • Document AI implementations, system configurations, and data flows to support maintainability and knowledge transfer.
  • Partner with business users to understand workflow pain points and identify where AI can add the most immediate value.
  • Support user onboarding and training on newly deployed AI tools and capabilities.
  • Serve as a practical bridge between the technology team and operational business users during AI rollouts.
  • Contribute to IFG's AI adoption playbook by capturing lessons learned, best practices, and reusable implementation patterns.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Data Science, or a related field (or equivalent related work experience).
  • 0-2+ years of related experience in the AI field.
  • Working knowledge of Python and SQL for automation, data transformation, and integration work.
  • Exposure to AI or LLM-based tools (e.g., OpenAI APIs, LangChain, Microsoft Copilot, or similar platforms).
  • Familiarity with Power BI or similar BI tools for dashboard and report development.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to move from ideas to working solution in a business environment
  • Ability to effectively understand and communicate information to a wide variety of technical and non-technical individuals or groups 
  • Ability to pass a hair follicle drug test, post-offer pre-employment physical, and background check.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with ERP Implementation
  • Familiarity with ETL processes, data warehouse concepts, or EDI integrations.
  • Experience with Databricks, PySpark, or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
  • Familiarity with workflow automation or orchestration tools (Airflow, GitHub Actions, Power Automate)
  • Familiarity with forest products, or industrial operations environments
  • Valid driver’s license

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to sit and/or stand for shift, reach with hands and arms, stoop, squat, bend at the waist, kneel, walk varying distance, and climb stairs.
