- Full-time (1.0 FTE)
- Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM
- No weekends or holidays
- Located at Goodman Hall Neuroscience Center, Indianapolis
- Work with a multidisciplinary neurology team and expert providers
- Strong learning environment with opportunities to broaden your clinical knowledge
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Room patients and support clinic flow
- →Obtain and document patient information
- →Assist providers with patient care needs
- →Complete administrative duties, including forms, paperwork, and FMLA documentation
- →Collaborate with a team of 12 Medical Assistants to support approximately 150 patients daily
Requirements
~1 min read- Certified Medical Assistant required
- New graduates welcome to apply
- 0-1 years of experience preferred
- Clinical lab/practicum experience accepted
- A willingness to learn
- Strong teamwork and communication skills

✓AHA Basic Life Support for healthcare workers certification required. Other advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
✓High school diploma or equivalent required. Graduation from a Medical Assistant program required.
✓Current certification in medical assisting required from America Association of Medical Assistants (CMA), American Medical Technologists (RMA), National Health Career Association (CCMA), National Center for competency Testing (NCMA), and/or American Medical Certification Association (CMAC).
✓Knowledge of OSHA, CLIA, and ADA required.
✓Knowledge of ICD-10 and CPT coding required.
✓TB validated (to administer or read) or validation obtained within 6 months of hire preferred.
✓Knowledge of Business Unit Quality Programs, Meaningful Use and Standard Work Programs and concepts within 6 months of hire.
✓Knowledge of standard laboratory and medical procedures.
✓Knowledge of insurance plans and third-party payers.
✓Ability to master standard clinical competencies per current Clinical policy, Point of Care and Skills Competency checklists.
✓Requires basic math and accurate data collection and entry skills.
