Responsibilities
~1 min readThis is a 40 hours/week Monday-Friday position on the outpatient speech-language pathology team at Riley Hospital for Children. The caseload consists of evaluation and treatment for a variety of complex speech and language disorders. The caseload does not include feeding and swallowing disorders. One late day is required to provide after-school appointments. Candidates with their CCCs are preferred.
Performs speech pathology services including diagnostic evaluations to determine level of impairment. After administering the appropriate tests and measures, a treatment plan is designed for improved communication. Performs direct patient care services including the supervision of support personnel and students. Willingly participates in related activities in support of patient care, education and department operations.

- Requires a Master's Degree from an accredited academic program in speech pathology; or, if foreign trained, graduation from a speech pathology education program outside the US with educationally equivalent coursework accepted by Indiana PLA.
- Requires current license in the State of Indiana.
- Requires a certificate of clinical competence awarded by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) or eligibility for this certificate.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Advanced life support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
