Your role Key responsibilities in your new role Application Development : Build and maintain Python based desktop tools for engineering Tooling Infrastructure : Create distribution solutions including installers, automatic updates, shared databases, and SharePoint and Microsoft 365 integration Intelligent Features : Implement Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) capabilities including automated data extraction from PDF documents, intelligent analysis and reporting, and AI-assisted engineering workflows Quality Engineering : Strengthen code architecture, testing, packaging, and documentation practices Stakeholder Collaboration : Partner with engineers to translate their needs into practical tool features Academic Writing : Possibility to develop a Master's thesis aligned with the internship topics Further Information : Type of employment: Temporary / Part-time or Full-time (flexible working hours from Monday to Friday between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m.) Duration: min.12 months Your profile Qualifications and skills to help you succeed  Education : Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar field Programming : Strong Python skills Frameworks : Experience with Graphical User Interface (GUI) applications, data processing, or ML/LLM frameworks is a plus Interests : Interest in engineering applications and in working with non-software experts Language Skills : Good English communication skills Additional information This position is subject to the collective agreement for workers and employees in the electrical and electronics industry (full-time), employment group D for master students (https://www.feei.at/wp-content/uploads/2026/06/minimum-salaries-white-collar-workers-2026-05-01.pdf ). #WeAreIn for driving decarbonization and digitalization.
