As Procurement Manager, you will be responsible for managing and optimising the procurement activities of Iniala Group, ensuring the business secures high-quality products and services at competitive prices and on favourable commercial terms.
The role will oversee the purchasing process from sourcing and supplier selection through to negotiation, ordering and delivery. Working closely with operational departments and Finance, you will ensure purchasing requirements are met efficiently, consistently and in line with agreed standards and procedures.
The ideal candidate will be commercially minded, highly organised and confident in supplier negotiations, with strong attention to detail and an understanding of procurement within a hotel, hospitality or luxury service environment.
Responsibilities

- Source and procure food and beverage products, operating supplies, equipment, linen, cleaning products, amenities, uniforms and other business requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotations, prepare comparison sheets and ensure purchases follow approved specifications and procedures.
- Manage purchase orders and coordinate with suppliers and operational teams to ensure timely delivery and resolution of any issues.
- Work closely with Heads of Department to understand purchasing requirements, specifications and timelines.
- Identify, evaluate and onboard suppliers based on quality, price, availability, reliability and service.
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships and act as the primary point of contact for commercial matters.
- Negotiate pricing, payment terms, delivery arrangements, discounts, rebates and other commercial agreements.
- Review supplier performance and address issues relating to quality, service, pricing or delivery.
- Maintain appropriate alternative suppliers for key products to support continuity of supply.
- Manage supplier contracts, agreements and renewals, ensuring terms remain commercially appropriate.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies for key categories in line with Group objectives.
- Monitor market conditions, pricing trends and product availability to identify opportunities for savings, efficiencies and improved value.
- Identify opportunities to leverage Group purchasing volumes and standardise purchasing where appropriate.
- Provide management with recommendations on suppliers, products and purchasing arrangements to support informed commercial decisions.
- Maintain accurate procurement records, including supplier information, purchase orders, quotations, contracts and pricing.
- Prepare regular reports on procurement activity, supplier performance and key commercial developments.
- Ensure purchasing activities comply with Group policies, approval processes and procurement controls.
- Provide Finance and management with procurement information required for budgeting, forecasting, audits and financial reviews.
- Stay informed of relevant procurement practices, regulations and industry developments.
- Carry out other job-related duties as assigned in support of Group operations.
Requirements
~1 min read- A-Level standard of education or equivalent qualification. A qualification in Procurement, Supply Chain, Business, Hospitality or a related field would be considered an asset.
- Proven experience in procurement, purchasing, buying or supply chain management, preferably within the hospitality industry.
- Strong negotiation and supplier relationship management skills.
- Commercial awareness and the ability to balance price, quality, availability and service.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and experience with procurement, purchasing or ERP systems.
- Excellent organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with fluency in Maltese and English.
- Occasionally required to work weekends for stock-take purposes.
