We are seeking a compassionate, professional, and dependable Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our Adult Residential Facility (ARF). The CNA provides high-quality, person-centered care to adults with developmental disabilities and complex medical and behavioral needs by assisting with activities of daily living (ADLs), monitoring health and well-being, and promoting a safe, structured, and respectful living environment. This role works collaboratively with the interdisciplinary team to deliver services in accordance with individualized care plans, physician orders, California Title 22 and Title 17 regulations, Community Care Licensing (CCL) requirements, and facility policies and procedures.

• Current California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in good standing
• Minimum one (1) year of CNA experience preferred (experience in skilled nursing, assisted living, behavioral health, developmental disabilities, or long-term care preferred)

• Minimum age: 21 years

• Prior experience supporting adults with developmental disabilities preferred

• Experience working with individuals who exhibit behavioral challenges in residential or community settings preferred

• Basic understanding of person-centered practices, IPPs, ISPs, and behavioral support strategies

• Ability to follow clinical guidance, written plans, and regulatory requirements consistently

• Active California Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification
• Ability to maintain all required continuing education (CEUs) necessary to keep CNA certification active
• CPR & First Aid Certification (must remain current)

• CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification (or ability to complete upon hire)

• DSP I and DSP II certification (or ability to complete within required timeframe)

• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) training (certification pathway supported)

• DOJ/FBI Live Scan background clearance

• TB clearance and required health screenings

• Completion of all mandated trainings per Title 17, Title 22, DDS, and CCL requirements
  
  

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods

• Ability to assist residents with mobility and daily tasks

• Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally

• Ability to respond quickly to emergencies or resident needs

• Provide direct, hands-on behavioral and residential support to assigned residents

• Implement Individual Program Plans (IPPs), Individual Service Plans (ISPs), and Behavior Support Plans (BSPs) under clinical supervision

• Support residents with communication, emotional regulation, social skills, daily routines, and community participation

• Assist residents with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, mobility, and mealtime routines
• Promote dignity, autonomy, choice, and safety in all interactions
  
  

• Assist with planning and facilitating residential and community-based activities aligned with resident goals

• Support community outings, appointments, and off-site activities as scheduled

• Create and use visual supports, program materials, and structured activities

• Engage equitably with all assigned residents without avoidance or preference-based selection
  
  

• Complete daily notes, logs, behavioral data, and service documentation accurately and on time

• Document incidents and special incidents as required by policy and regulation

• Ensure documentation is audit-ready and compliant with Title 17/22 and DDS standards

• Use company-approved systems (e.g., Google Workspace) for documentation and communication
  
  

• Uphold resident rights, including privacy, informed consent, and freedom from abuse or neglect

• Use person-first, respectful, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive communication

• Maintain professional boundaries and ethical conduct at all times

• Report safety concerns, suspected abuse or neglect, and significant behavioral changes immediately

• Comply with mandatory reporter laws and organizational policies

This position operates within an Adult Residential Facility and includes work in resident living spaces, common areas, and community settings. Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays based on program needs. Flexibility is required to ensure 24-hour residential coverage.
