At Intelic, we build advanced software for unmanned systems in the defense sector. Based in Amsterdam, we are a fast-growing team of engineers and defense experts developing Nexus — an intelligence platform that gives unmanned systems the speed, coordination, and reliability that critical missions demand. We work closely with military end users, including in active operational environments, to ensure our technology is built on real-world needs.
We work with NATO MoD clients and have a growing pipeline of training projects that demand dedicated focus. Our Field Operations team is expanding to meet these responsibilities, and this role is a core part of that growth. Until now, MoD training has been carried by Field Operations alongside other priorities. We need someone who can take full ownership of how we design and deliver training for military end users — owning the programs and processes from scratch, together with the Field Operations Manager.
Responsibilities
~1 min read- →
Design and deliver end-to-end training programs for Dutch MoD units and NATO partners on Nexus, covering multiple UxV platforms and evolving mission scenarios
- →
Build training from scratch — assessing unit needs, aligning with product on software versions and features, setting timelines, and coordinating all stakeholders involved
- →
Work closely with the product team to ensure training reflects both client expectations and real battlefield realities
- →
Incorporate frontline feedback from Ukraine into training scenarios, ensuring programs reflect how the software is actually used in combat environments
- →
Contribute to expectation management with clients — pushing back where needed, grounding requests in operational context.
- →
Collaborate within a growing Field Operations team of specialists — together covering the full range of training and adoption needs across NATO countries and risk environments
- →
Travel for training delivery across the Netherlands and NATO countries. Occasional visits to Ukraine (3–4 per year) are a plus but not required
Background as an NCO or equivalent in a NATO military — Dutch MoD experience is strongly preferred
Proven experience designing and delivering structured training programs for small tactical teams
Deep understanding of NATO TTPs and SOPs, and how to build training that maps to them
Open to fast-moving environments where innovation cycles are short and training doctrine doesn’t always exist yet
Strong stakeholder communication skills — comfortable working across product, operations, and client teams
Fluent in English; Dutch is a strong advantage
UxV experience is a significant plus, some familiarity with C2 systems or general technical knowledge is an advantage
Working with military people is the point. You are drawn to that environment, you understand how soldiers think, and building trust with operators is something you actually care about
You are driven by a sense of purpose beyond the job itself — you want to contribute to a stronger, more capable Europe, and this role gives you a direct, visible way to do that
You are comfortable building things from zero — there is no playbook yet, and you will write it
You can operate with a lot of autonomy, ask the right questions, and move without waiting to be told
You are genuinely curious about the technology and want to understand it deeply enough to train others on it effectively
You are as comfortable in a room with product managers as you are running an exercise with a platoon
Real ownership. You own how Intelic delivers; not just a single project, but the system that makes delivery work across teams and partners
Shape the company. We are building our delivery function from the ground up. How you work becomes how we work
See your decisions in the field. Your orchestration directly affects how technology gets deployed in real operations
Learn fast. Direct partner contact, cross-functional ownership, and a team that takes craft seriously
The mission is real. We build technology that makes Europe safer. That is not a tagline
You are genuinely curious about the technology and want to understand it deeply enough to train others on it effectively
