Scrap Compactor - 1st Shift (6am-2pm)

To carry out segregation, compaction, and handling of scrap and recyclable materials (cardboard, plastic, etc.) while ensuring compliance with safety standards and maintaining a clean and organized work area, contributing to the efficiency of the recycling process.

• Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

• Preferred Experience: 6 months in material handling in a manufacturing environment or industrial recycling.

• Ability to work extra hours or shifts based on customer production requirements.

• Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Cross-training and job rotation are vital to our operations and are required of all team members.

• Must be available to work 6 days a week.

• Knowledge and Skills:

• Forklift operation.

• Basic use of compactors / balers.

• LOTO

• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

• →Environment:

• →Industrial setting with moderate exposure to noise and dust. Use of personal protective equipment (PPE) is mandatory.

• →Physical Demands:

• →This is primarily a standing position, requiring periods of 8 – 12 hours per day of standing and physical activity throughout the shift.

• →Able to lift up to 15lbs on a frequent basis, and up to 50lbs with assistance.
