As an HR Governance and Risk Analyst, you will support the development, execution, and continuous improvement of HR governance, compliance, and risk management programs. You will help ensure HR policies, processes, and practices align with evolving legislative, regulatory, and organizational requirements while supporting governance reporting, auditing, and risk assessments across the organization. Your goal will be to enable compliant, effective, and sustainable HR operations through strong governance practices, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Your success will be measured by your ability to identify and mitigate risks, maintain effective governance processes, support compliance initiatives, and build strong partnerships with internal and external stakeholders

Responsibilities

  • →Support the day-to-day administration and continuous improvement of the HR Governance Program, including governance processes, controls, and reporting activities
  • →Coordinate and support governance, compliance, and risk management initiatives that enhance HR operational effectiveness and regulatory compliance
  • →Partner with HR, Legal, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Governance teams to support cross-functional governance activities and requirements
  • →Review and maintain HR policies, procedures, and documentation to ensure alignment with legislative, regulatory, and organizational standards
  • →Conduct audits, reviews, and assessments to evaluate compliance with established policies, procedures, and controls, identifying risks and improvement opportunities
  • →Track, document, and support the resolution of governance, compliance, and risk-related findings and action plans
  • →Develop and deliver governance communications, training materials, and awareness initiatives that promote understanding of compliance requirements and HR policies
  • →Support governance reporting and analytics, providing insights, trends, and recommendations to stakeholders and leadership teams
  • →Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure adherence to HR governance processes, legislative requirements, and best practices
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify risks, evaluate impacts, and recommend solutions
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and competing deadlines
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when working with policies, controls, documentation, and compliance requirements
  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 applications, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and reporting tools such as Power BI
  • Ability to exercise discretion and maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Law, Public Policy, Risk Management, or a related field
  • 3-7 years of experience in Human Resources, Governance, Compliance, Risk Management, Policy Development, Law, or a related field, with experience interpreting and applying provincial and federal employment legislation and regulatory requirements
  • Experience reviewing, developing, or maintaining policies, procedures, controls, audits, governance reporting, risk assessments, or compliance frameworks

 

The expected annual salary range for this position is $66,267 - $109,341. Placement within the range will be based on relevant experience, qualifications and skills.
