The Island Private School of Limassol is seeking a competent and experienced Afternoon Pre-Primary Teacher to join our team at our Parekklisia campus for the 2025–2026 academic year.

We are also in the process of planning our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m² site, which will include kindergartens, elementary and high schools, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing school at an exciting stage of development.



General Responsibilities:



  • Be an active and collaborative member of the class team, including participation in collaborative PYP meetings, development and implementation of classroom management rules, and approaches to teaching.
  • Collaborate with homeroom teachers and co-teachers to ensure a seamless transition between the first and second parts of the school day.
  • Transfer teaching skills and experience to extracurricular assistants, including daily routines and classroom management.
  • Design and plan age-appropriate, engaging extracurricular activities aligned with the curriculum.
  • Ensure all necessary materials and resources are prepared to facilitate activities.
  • Deliver extracurricular activities effectively.
  • Encourage student participation and engagement, fostering discussions that promote critical thinking.
  • Transform everyday classroom situations into meaningful learning opportunities.
  • Monitor and ensure adherence to established routines and procedures.
  • Support children in personal hygiene and wellbeing routines.
  • Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and proper supervision of students, maintaining a secure and supportive environment.
  • Oversee student dismissal and ensure children are safely collected by parents/guardians.
  • Maintain strict confidentiality regarding students’ learning, development, and care.
  • Communicate with parents regarding children’s learning experience and wellbeing during the afternoon programme.
  • Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and required training.
  • Follow all school policies related to safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety.



Qualifications:



  • Bachelor’s degree in Pre-Primary Education (preferred).
  • Professional Educator Diploma or equivalent teaching qualification (e.g., QTS, PGCE).
  • Fluency in English (minimum C1 level) and international-mindedness.
  • Familiarity with the use of technology in teaching and learning.
  • Compassionate, attentive, and knowledgeable about child development.
  • Creative, curious, and able to co-create a child-centred learning environment.
  • Flexible, proactive, and enthusiastic approach to teaching.

Working Hours:
Monday to Friday, 14:00 – 18:00



Recruitment Process:



  • Panel online interview (Employee Success Manager , Pre-Primary Coordinator,) approx 30 minutes
  • On-site trial lesson (60–90 minutes) at the Parekklisia campus
  • Final online interview with the Head of School – 15 minutes
