Secondary Afternoon Teacher 14:00-18:00

The Island Private School of Limassol in Cyprus is seeking a competent and experienced Afternoon Facilitator to join our secondary team (children of 12-16 years old) in January 2025 or in September 2025.

As we grow, we are in the process of planning our new school campus on a beautiful 50,000 m2 site, that will include kindergartens, elementary and high schools, an international boarding school, and accommodation for teachers. This is a great opportunity to join a growing school on the cusp of a major turning point.

Working days: Monday to Friday/14:00-18:00.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in planning and implementation of enrichment, health, and recreational extra-curricular learning experiences for students.  
  
• Facilitate outside students’ playing and support children in wellbeing routines.
  
• Perform related duties as assigned by Extracurricular Coordinator. 
  
• Maintain confidentiality about children’s learning, development and care at all times.
• Monitor and ensure that students follow established routines and procedures.
• Collaborate with other team members (class teachers and co-teachers) to ensure a seamless transition between activities and programs.
• Attend staff meetings, professional development sessions, and training as required.
• Follow all relevant policies and procedures regarding safety, child protection, and health and safety.
• Following essential Classroom agreements with the members of the class-team (that includes homeroom teacher, co-teacher and afternoon co-teacher).
• Substitution hours of team members (assistants) according to team’s needs.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in working with children (e.g. summer camps, afternoon schools etc.).
• English Intermediate at least and international mindedness.
• Compassionate and attentive to students; knows how children learn and can support their learning.

Recruitment process:

1. Panel interview including Head of School, Head of Extracurricular Program and Employee Success Manager (20 minutes).
2. A trial hour on-site (60 minutes).
