Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of enterprise automation solutions that enhance operational efficiency, scalability, and business transformation.

The ideal candidate will possess strong software engineering expertise, deep cloud experience (particularly AWS), and a proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, influence stakeholders, and drive automation strategy across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-scale automation solutions to optimize business processes and reduce operational risk.
  • Partner with business leaders, technology teams, and operations stakeholders to identify automation opportunities and translate business needs into scalable technical solutions.
  • Define automation architecture standards, engineering best practices, and governance frameworks to ensure reliability, security, and maintainability.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams, promoting software engineering excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Drive the adoption of cloud-native technologies, DevOps practices, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) methodologies.
  • Oversee the performance, reliability, security, and operational support of automation platforms and solutions.
  • Lead technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and solution assessments.
  • Collaborate with risk, compliance, and security teams to ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and enterprise standards.
  • Develop and maintain technical roadmaps, solution documentation, operational procedures, and support models.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend innovative solutions that align with organizational objectives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
  • 8+ years of experience in software engineering, automation development, or related technology roles.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one modern programming language such as .NET (C#), Java, or Python.
  • Extensive experience designing, developing, and consuming RESTful APIs and distributed systems.
  • Experience with AWS services, including but not limited to:
    • EC2
    • Lambda
    • S3
    • CloudWatch
    • IAM
    • CloudFormation/CDK
  • Deep understanding of software architecture patterns, including microservices, event-driven architectures, and API-based integrations.
  • Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, AWS CDK, or CloudFormation.
  • Strong knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tooling such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, and AWS CodePipeline.
  • Experience with application monitoring, observability, logging, and production support in cloud environments.
  • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, ECS, EKS, and Kubernetes.
  • Strong understanding of Secure Software Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) practices and cloud security principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead complex technical initiatives and influence stakeholders across business and technology organizations.
  • Experience working within highly regulated environments, preferably financial services.
  • Experience with workflow automation platforms, Jira automation, BPM tools, or low-code/no-code technologies such as OutSystems.
  • AWS, Azure, or cloud-related professional certifications.
  • Experience with AI-enabled automation, intelligent workflow solutions, or Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
  • Knowledge of enterprise architecture frameworks and governance methodologies.
  • Experience managing vendor relationships and third-party technology solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML), Bank Secrecy Act (BSA), and applicable regulatory requirements, as well as Itaú policies, standards, and procedures.
  • Promote a culture of risk awareness, governance, and operational excellence across all automation initiatives.
