FT Medical Assistant

• →Welcome and check-in patients, ensuring a smooth and positive experience.
• →Assist with scheduling, medical records, and updating insurance information.
• →Support clinical staff by preparing treatment rooms and taking patient vitals.
• →Assist with infusions, subcutaneous injections, and documenting patient care.
• →Help maintain clinic inventory, equipment, and supplies.
• →Perform lab draws, phlebotomy, and other clinical tasks as needed.

• Enjoys interacting with patients, nurses, and healthcare professionals in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong multitasking, time management, and prioritization skills.
• Excellent customer service with strong attention to detail.
• Proficient in using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems and standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to take and record vital signs and administer medications and injections.
• Capable of documenting patient care accurately in the EMR and handling telephones and scheduling appointments.
• Demonstrates ethical healthcare and business practices, ensuring HIPAA compliance and patient privacy.

• Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program, with certification.
• Active and valid Medical Assistant certification or licensure in the state of employment. Candidates must ensure their certification remains current and meet all applicable state-specific regulatory requirements.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• 1-2 years of experience in a medical office or healthcare setting.
• Experience in an infusion therapy setting is preferred but not required.
• High school diploma or GED.
