Responsibilities

→Awareness of the impact of disabilities and chronic illness on individuals and families
→Knowledge of interviewing principles and techniques
→Familiarity with community resources and public benefits eligibility requirements

Strong communication, referral, and information-sharing skills
Ability to build and maintain effective interpersonal relationships
Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills
Advocacy skills to support client access to services
Proficiency with computer systems and standard office software

Ability to communicate effectively with individuals from diverse socio-economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to conduct effective interviews and complete assessments
Ability to arrange, coordinate, and negotiate service referrals
Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Requirements

Part-time (20 hours/week)
Primarily office-based with occasional local travel
Direct support of the JABA Helpline as a core job function
Participation in community outreach events as needed
Regular use of computer systems for documentation and resource tracking
