Lead Data Scientist

Jerry Service Inc. seeks a Lead Data Scientist in Palo Alto, California, with telecommuting permissible from AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NY, NV, OR, TN, TX, UT, or VA, to perform the following job duties: Drive the design and development of A/B tests on app features and user experience, and advise on best practices; Lead the development of attribution models to measure the impact of marketing activities on customer acquisition and retention; Synthesize complex data into clear and actionable recommendations for senior leadership; Develop cross-functional initiatives to optimize the entire customer journey and enhance overall conversion rates and customer acquisition; Provide guidance and support to team members, fostering their professional growth and development; Keep up-to-date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging strategies to guide and educate the team; Analyze complex data for trends and patterns, interpreting data with clear business objectives in mind and providing strategic actionable insights; Lead the production of research projects that recommend business strategies, partnering with the business to advise on investments and product decisions; Drive metrics definition and management, in collaboration with the business and data engineers; Develop sophisticated reports and visualizations for business use, leveraging your understanding of the business and what it wants to achieve, and provide guidance to other team members; Leverage analytical modeling techniques to increase and optimize customer experiences, revenue generation, efficiency, and other business outcomes; As needed, lead collaboration with other data scientists to evolve, optimize, and integrate machine learning models, and mentor junior team members; Lead the implementation of analytical models in production by collaborating with software developers and providing technical expertise; Other duties as assigned; Telecommuting permitted from anywhere in the U.S; and Domestic travel may be required less than 5% of the time for company off-sites.

Position requires a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Economics, Data Science, Mathematics, Statistics, and other closely related degrees, and 5 years of experience as a Data Scientist or similar role. Must have 5 years experience in MBB consulting experience, 3 years of experience in scripting languages (Python, Java, etc.) or statistical packages (R, SAS, Matlab, etc.), and must have 2 years of experience in the following skills: Advanced proficiency and hands-on experience with SQL; and Proven experience in designing and implementing A/B tests and other user research.

The successful candidate’s starting pay will fall within the pay range listed on this job posting, determined based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, skills, experience, qualifications, work location, and market conditions. Ranges are market-dependent and may be modified in the future. In addition to base salary, the compensation may include opportunities for equity grants.
