JOB SUMMARY: As a Group Design Manager within our core experiences functions, this role is pivotal in enhancing the product experience for JioHotstar customers. Responsibilities include collaborating with stakeholders, leading a team of designers, and working towards improving experiences that facilitate content browsing and discovery for users.

ABOUT THE TEAM: Design is one of the key teams at JioHotstar. We have 4 key areas of focus - Product Design, UX Research, Design Standards and Creative Studio.We are a closely-knit team of 30+ people at the moment, who work across the spectrum of design from deriving insight from data, designing interfaces and prototypes, and testing with users to motion graphics and illustrations.

Lead and design new products, interfaces, and user experiences across multiple platforms

Harness user behavior insights and feedback to iteratively refine designs, ensuring continuous optimization and enhancement of user experiences

Establish and exemplify a culture of collaboration and creativity, providing mentorship and support to foster the professional growth of the design team

Work with Product Designers and Product Managers to define and redefine problem statements and develop project execution plans

Translate problem statements into valuable and user-friendly solutions for millions of customers

Create concepts that cater to the diverse needs of users from various backgrounds

Coordinate with the UX Research team and data science team to develop impactful, metrics-driven, user-centric solutions

Collaborate with teams of engineers and product managers throughout the design process, from content to production, to create user flows and build user-interface mockups and prototypes

A minimum of 2+ years of managerial experience leading a high performing design team

An accomplished designer with a keen eye for quality design aesthetics and an in-depth understanding of user experience and design principles, instrumental in driving unmatched engagement and fueling revenue growth

Proficiency in translating abstract business concepts or requirements into tangible conceptual designs

Demonstrates exceptional design skills, a high level of craft, a strong understanding of fundamental design disciplines (typography, composition, iconography, color, layouts, etc.), impeccable visual and interaction finesse, and meticulous attention to detail

Expertise in current best practices, developments, and trends across mobile and web platforms

Ability to confidently articulate UX design rationale and enjoy leading conversations with teams and key stakeholders

Experience in leading complex projects independently under tight timelines
