The Organisational Capability Development Manager, Marketing and Medical, will strengthen capability across both functions by developing practical frameworks, coaching teams and establishing standards that support effective execution of business strategy. In this role, you will help Marketing and Medical teams turn strategy into confident execution, from brand planning and launch readiness through to scientific engagement and field effectiveness.

This role focuses on organisational development and capability building rather than providing technical marketing or medical expertise or owning functional content. Using the same build, coach and measure approach as the Salesforce Excellence Organisational Capability Development Manager, it will support two additional Institute of Competitiveness academies. Reporting to the Head of Capability, the role will work closely with Marketing leadership and Medical Leadership teams.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Marketing capability (approx 50%)

• Design, facilitate & lead capability upskilling across the VX brand planning process, with a focus on leadership and change management.
• Build launch excellence capability by partnering with Marketing teams to strengthen launch planning, cross-functional alignment, and execution readiness across the product lifecycle
• Partner with Commercial and Marketing leaders to design and facilitate workshops in insight generation, business storytelling and tactical planning.
• Translate priorities from the marketing proficiency review into targeted skill building.
• Embed the key account management process into marketing ways of working.

Medical capability (approx 50%)

• Design, facilitate & lead capability workshops with Medical Leaders with a focus on field effectiveness, scientific engagement and insight quality.
• Partner with Medical Leads on capability upskilling in business strategy, cross-functional influence and communication.
• Provide field coaching and coach-the-coach programs across the Medical function.
• Lead the embedment of existing AP-ANZ Medical capability frameworks through change management, assessment cycles and measures specific to Medical Affairs.
• Embed the key account management process into medical ways of working where relevant.

Shared ways of working

• Lead with change management and coaching rather than product delivery, so capability lands as lasting behaviour change.
• Develop leadership and coaching capability across both functions.
• Apply a consistent proficiency and measurement discipline across both academies, aligned to the Institute of Competitiveness and ANZ Salesforce Excellence approach.
• Partner with the Salesforce Excellence Capability Development Manager to keep methods, tools and standards consistent across academies.
