Responsibilities
~1 min read- →Enter utility invoices and waste data accurately and on time within established Service Level Agreements, following documented processes
- →Process and validate waste metrics including tonnage, diversion rates, recycling data, and vendor invoices across client portfolios
- →Manage general mailboxes with daily email processing, documentation tracking, and identification of data gaps
- →Prepare and distribute system-driven reports to business lines at regular intervals
- →Analyze utility and waste reporting outputs to identify trends, anomalies, cost-saving opportunities, and waste reduction strategies that drive sustainability insights for clients
- →Resolve data queries and issues promptly, tracking progress and supporting investigations
- →Conduct utility audits of site details, meter information, and account data, coordinating corrections with processing teams
- →Support waste program audits including hauler verification, contamination tracking, and waste stream validation
- →Review utility payments against thresholds, processing exceptions and escalating when appropriate
- →Manage Purchase Order setup, invoice approvals, and Letter of Authorization requests
- →Support budget forecasting through data management and coordination with forecasting timelines
- →Track waste management costs and support waste reduction initiatives through data-driven recommendations
Requirements
~1 min read- College degree in Environmental Science, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics or related field
- 1-3 years of relevant experience (corporate, service provider, consulting, or comparable roles)
- Experience working with waste and recycling data, including tracking waste streams, diversion rates, or sustainability metrics
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office with Excel skills for data analysis
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Excellent communication abilities with collaborative, client-focused approach
- Flexibility and adaptability in responding to changing priorities
- Experience working with datasets and maintaining data quality
- Reliable work ethic with focus on quality and meeting deadlines
- Familiarity with Business Intelligence platforms (Power BI) or analytics visualization tools
- Background in Environmental Science, finance, accounting, utility data management, or waste management operations
- Knowledge of sustainability metrics, environmental reporting, waste management best practices, circular economy principles, or energy management
- Understanding of waste hauler operations, waste auditing methodologies, or zero waste programs
- Experience with budget forecasting or financial data management
- Understanding of Service Level Agreements and performance tracking
