You will work primarily with Zapier to audit, rebuild, and optimize existing integrations for stronger security and scalability.
A key focus will be replacing static API-key dependencies with more secure Custom Actions and API Call Actions.
You will combine development skills with security-focused thinking to ensure workflows remain reliable, maintainable, and efficient.
The position offers hands-on ownership of automation architecture, API integrations, webhooks, and data handling.
You will collaborate with technology and security teams while working independently in a fully remote environment.

- Audit and analyze existing Zapier workflows using available API key and integration information.
- Rebuild and migrate existing Zaps using Custom Actions and API Call Actions to improve security and scalability.
- Replace static API-key dependencies with more secure integration approaches where appropriate.
- Test and validate updated workflows to ensure they remain secure, reliable, efficient, and fully functional.
- Design and implement automation solutions that can be maintained and scaled as business requirements evolve.
- Work with technology and security teams to ensure automation workflows meet technical and security standards.
- Document automation architecture, implementation decisions, and processes to support consistent maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Investigate workflow issues, identify root causes, and implement effective fixes.
Requirements

- Proven experience building advanced automation workflows using Custom Actions and API Call Actions.
- Strong understanding of automation architecture, API integrations, and webhook-based workflows.
- Ability to read and write JavaScript for automation development and integration tasks.
- Experience working with API calls and integrating external services.
- Strong proficiency in handling and troubleshooting JSON payloads.
- Detail-oriented approach with strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage technical tasks effectively, and communicate clearly within a remote team.
- Reliable technical setup, including a computer with at least 8GB of RAM and a dual-monitor configuration.
- Internet connection with a minimum speed of 25 Mbps.
- Camera with at least 1080p resolution for remote collaboration.
