- Design, develop, maintain, and evolve robust, scalable, and highly available full stack solutions capable of supporting high-volume user environments.
- Develop backend services using Java, Spring Boot, Hibernate, and Node.js with NestJS, while contributing to the evolution of microservices architectures and REST APIs.
- Contribute to frontend development and integration initiatives, ensuring consistency between application interfaces, APIs, and backend services.
- Maintain code quality through Clean Code, Clean Architecture, modularization, and effective management of technical debt.
- Design, implement, and maintain automated tests, including unit tests with JUnit 5 and contract tests using Pact.
- Work with asynchronous communication and messaging technologies such as RabbitMQ and AWS SQS to support reliable distributed architectures.
- Monitor system health and contribute to observability initiatives using tools such as Dynatrace, identifying issues and supporting continuous improvements in reliability and performance.
- Participate in agile development practices using Scrum or Kanban, collaborating with other engineers and stakeholders to deliver high-value solutions.
- Contribute to code versioning and collaborative development practices using Git, while documenting solutions and supporting continuous technical improvement.
Requirements
~2 min read- Proven professional experience working on technically complex projects and processes, preferably in environments requiring scalability, availability, and strong engineering practices.
- Solid experience with Java 17+, Spring Boot, and Hibernate in production environments, combined with experience maintaining legacy Java applications from Java 8 onward.
- Professional experience with Node.js and NestJS, with the ability to contribute effectively to backend development across multiple technologies.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and REST API design, including the ability to build and evolve distributed services.
- Practical experience with messaging and asynchronous communication technologies such as RabbitMQ and/or AWS SQS.
- Experience with Axway API Gateway and familiarity with API management in enterprise environments.
- Hands-on experience creating and maintaining automated tests, particularly unit tests with JUnit 5 and contract tests with Pact.
- Experience with monitoring and observability platforms such as Dynatrace, together with a strong understanding of application health and operational reliability.
- Strong Git skills and practical knowledge of Clean Code, Clean Architecture, and modularization principles.
- Experience working with agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban, combined with strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, curiosity, and a willingness to continuously learn.
- Experience with JavaScript and TypeScript is an advantage, as is practical experience developing frontend applications with React and React Native.
- Familiarity with Next.js, React Hooks, Styled Components, Axios, Microfrontend Architecture (MFE), and the development of reusable screens and components is considered a plus.
- Experience with low-code or no-code tools is also desirable.
