This leadership role offers the opportunity to oversee statistical strategy and delivery across a broad portfolio of clinical research programs. You will lead and develop senior biostatistical professionals while ensuring high-quality, timely, and scientifically sound statistical deliverables. The position combines people leadership, client engagement, resource management, strategic planning, and technical statistical expertise. You will serve as a trusted advisor to project teams and clients, contributing to complex clinical research initiatives and regulatory interactions. Working closely with senior leadership, you will help shape departmental priorities, budgets, staffing strategies, and operational processes. This is a fully remote opportunity for an experienced biostatistics leader motivated by work that can contribute to meaningful public health and clinical research outcomes.

Lead a team of Biostatistician Managers and oversee statistical deliverables across a broad research area.
Serve as a primary statistical contact for clients on large projects, building collaborative relationships with sponsors and project teams.
Manage statistical resources, including budgets and personnel, to ensure appropriate staffing and timely completion of project activities.
Develop the strategic vision and priorities for the biostatistics department in partnership with senior leadership.
Act as an internal point of contact for corporate and senior project staff regarding statistical activities, staffing, budgets, and operational planning.
Participate in recruitment activities, candidate evaluation, and hiring decisions for statistical staff.
Provide expert statistical consultation across clinical research projects and advise teams on complex methodological and operational questions.
Supervise and mentor senior statistical professionals, supporting their career development, technical growth, and leadership capabilities.
Represent the organization in sponsor, regulatory, investigator, and safety review meetings, including Data and Safety Monitoring Board meetings.
Establish statistical budgets for new project opportunities and support resource planning.
Identify statistical and operational challenges, evaluate potential solutions, and drive effective resolution.
Prepare, review, and approve clinical project materials requiring statistical input, ensuring scientific validity, feasibility, and quality.
Review processes, schedules, checklists, and SOP-driven activities to promote efficient and consistent statistical delivery.
Participate in corporate and project-level quality assurance activities, particularly those involving statistical work.
Ensure project staff receive appropriate training and mentoring, while providing supervision and performance feedback.
Provide regular project updates to the Director of Biostatistics and ensure compliance with organizational policies and standards.

Master’s or PhD in Statistics, Biostatistics, Epidemiology, or a related field.
7+ years of relevant experience with a PhD or 10+ years with a Master’s degree.
Demonstrated experience leading clinical research teams and supervising senior-level statistical professionals.
Strong expertise in modern data manipulation techniques and advanced statistical analysis.
Proven ability to lead clinical research teams effectively and manage complex statistical programs.
Strong prioritization, problem-solving, organization, decision-making, time management, negotiation, mentoring, and planning skills.
