This fully remote role is designed for an experienced QA professional who will take a hands-on leadership role in ensuring product quality, reliability, and user satisfaction. You will own the QA lifecycle from requirements analysis and test strategy through execution, defect management, and release readiness. The position combines deep manual testing expertise with API, database, and foundational test automation capabilities. You will work closely with developers, product owners, and other QA professionals to identify risks and deliver dependable releases. The role also provides an opportunity to strengthen testing processes, promote quality best practices, and contribute to a broader culture of excellence. Success requires strong ownership, analytical thinking, collaboration, and the ability to work independently in a fully remote environment.

Own the end-to-end QA lifecycle, including requirements analysis, testability reviews, test strategy development, test design, execution, and release-readiness reporting.
Perform comprehensive manual functional, integration, regression, compatibility, and exploratory testing across complex web applications.
Design effective test cases and checklists using modern QA methodologies and test design techniques.
Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman and validate backend functionality and business logic.
Write and execute complex SQL queries to verify data integrity, backend behavior, and test data setup and teardown.
Identify, document, isolate, and track defects with clear and detailed information throughout their lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with developers to investigate issues, facilitate resolutions, and verify fixes.
Participate in requirements and grooming sessions, providing feedback on testability, risks, and potential quality concerns.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, methodologies, and testing practices.
Share testing knowledge and best practices with team members and help strengthen a culture of quality across the organization.
Support future automation initiatives by applying knowledge of testing frameworks and understanding application code.

Requirements

5+ years of professional QA experience, with a proven track record testing complex web applications.
Strong expertise in modern QA methodologies, test design techniques such as equivalence partitioning and boundary value analysis, and the full Software Development Life Cycle and Software Testing Life Cycle.
Experience working within Agile environments, including Scrum or Kanban.
Practical database testing experience, including writing complex SQL queries for relational databases such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or MySQL.
Foundational test automation experience with tools such as Cypress, Playwright, or Selenium.
Ability to read and understand code written in JavaScript, TypeScript, or Python to support test analysis and automation initiatives.
Strong experience with API testing and backend validation.
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to testing.
Fluent written and spoken English.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with developers, product owners, and QA teams.
Self-management skills and an ownership mindset suited to a fully remote working environment.
