We are seeking a Senior AI Engineer specializing in Forward Deployed Engineering to design, develop, and deploy advanced AI solutions that address complex customer challenges. In this customer-facing role, you will turn emerging generative AI research into reliable, production-ready applications with measurable business impact. You will work closely with customers to understand their needs, provide technical guidance, and deliver innovative AI systems across a range of industries. Collaborating with engineering, product, and research teams, you will help shape product direction and influence long-term technical priorities. The role offers opportunities to explore emerging developments in generative AI, large language models, machine learning, and LLM operations. You will also contribute to technical knowledge-sharing and represent the team at industry events and conferences.

Design and develop advanced generative AI solutions using techniques such as retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), multi-agent systems, Text-to-SQL, and model fine-tuning.
Lead the deployment and production rollout of customer-facing and internal AI applications, ensuring reliability, scalability, and performance.
Serve as a trusted technical advisor to customers, translating business challenges into effective AI architectures and implementation strategies.
Evaluate, optimize, and improve production-grade AI applications through systematic testing, performance analysis, and continuous iteration.
Collaborate with product, engineering, research, and developer relations teams to influence product priorities and contribute to the technical roadmap.
Share technical expertise through customer engagements, conference presentations, and internal knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Support strategic projects and subject-matter experts by applying practical AI engineering expertise to complex business problems.
Travel to customer locations approximately once every four to eight weeks, as business needs require.

Requirements

Extensive hands-on industry experience in data science, machine learning, and the development of practical AI solutions.
Demonstrated experience building generative AI applications, including RAG pipelines, multi-agent systems, Text-to-SQL solutions, and fine-tuned models.
Familiarity with AI development frameworks and tools such as Hugging Face, LangChain, and DSPy.
Strong expertise in deploying production-grade generative AI applications, including evaluation methodologies, performance optimization, and operational reliability.
Experience building and deploying machine learning solutions on cloud platforms such as AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
Proficiency with common data science and machine learning tools, including pandas, scikit-learn, and PyTorch.
A graduate degree in a quantitative field, such as computer science, engineering, statistics, or operations research, or equivalent practical experience.
Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain and teach complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
A collaborative mindset, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to continuous learning and delivering measurable business value through AI.
Preferred: Experience with large-scale distributed data processing using Apache Spark and the Databricks Intelligence Platform.
Willingness to travel periodically to meet customers and support project delivery.
