This role offers an opportunity to provide senior technical leadership while building scalable, high-quality software systems in a SaaS environment.
You will contribute across the full application lifecycle, from architecture and development through deployment, monitoring, and production support.
The position combines hands-on engineering with technical decision-making, code and design reviews, mentoring, and cross-functional collaboration.
You will help shape product features end to end while driving standards for performance, reliability, testing, and maintainability.
A strong focus on API-first development, cloud-native infrastructure, and modern engineering practices will be central to your work.
You will also play a key role in incident response, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement across the engineering organization.

Lead code and design reviews, establish development standards, and contribute to accurate technical planning and delivery.
Participate across the full application lifecycle, including architecture, coding, debugging, testing, deployment, monitoring, and maintenance.
Design and develop clean, reusable, scalable software components, libraries, and web applications.
Provide advanced troubleshooting and debugging support for application and production issues.
Drive technical decisions for product features and contribute to their end-to-end design, implementation, and long-term maintenance.
Apply modern technologies and engineering practices to improve existing applications and development processes.
Collaborate with developers, designers, product teams, system administrators, and other stakeholders to identify requirements and shape new features.
Champion an API-first approach, ensuring solutions are secure, scalable, extensible, and well integrated.
Set up and maintain development and application environments while monitoring system health and performance.
Improve development tooling, test coverage, code quality, and overall engineering practices.
Lead technical mentoring and provide guidance and support to junior and other engineers.
Respond to on-call incidents, troubleshoot critical disruptions, and drive resolution to minimize system downtime.
Monitor production systems, identify recurring issues, implement proactive improvements, and track relevant performance and reliability metrics.
Optimize application and system performance by identifying bottlenecks and implementing effective improvements.
Provide technical training and support to internal teams and maintain clear documentation and communication.
Work independently to manage priorities, solve complex technical problems, meet deadlines, and adapt to evolving requirements.

Requirements

8+ years of relevant software development experience, or 6+ years with an advanced degree; the broader experience guideline indicates 10+ years or 8+ years with an advanced degree.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
Strong programming skills in C# with proven experience as a full-stack software engineer.
Strong experience with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React and Angular, along with HTML and CSS.
Deep understanding of the software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing, deployment, and production support.
Experience developing and deploying applications on cloud-native infrastructure.
Advanced knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases, data structures, system optimization, and caching strategies.
Strong understanding and practical application of REST API best practices, including security, scalability, performance, and maintainability.
Experience developing comprehensive testing strategies covering unit, integration, and UI automation testing.
Experience building and deploying applications using Kubernetes.
Experience with OpenTelemetry and application/system observability.
Proven experience monitoring and supporting production systems, troubleshooting issues, and implementing proactive reliability improvements.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and time-management skills, with the ability to independently deliver results.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to provide technical input to varied stakeholders.
Proven ability to collaborate across engineering, product, and wider organizational initiatives within an Agile environment.
Ability to participate in an on-call rotation and respond effectively to production incidents.
Experience with SaaS products, particularly within technology or financial services, is preferred.
Experience deploying applications on Amazon Web Services using Kubernetes is preferred.
Experience with cross-platform mobile development frameworks such as Flutter is a plus.
A Master’s degree in Engineering, Technology, or a related field is preferred.
