Virtual Khmer Teacher

This remote freelance opportunity is ideal for a Khmer language professional who enjoys helping learners build practical communication skills in a flexible online environment. You will deliver engaging virtual lessons to students from different backgrounds and support them throughout their learning journey. Beyond teaching, you will act as a motivator and mentor, adapting sessions to individual goals, proficiency levels, and learning needs. You will provide constructive feedback, monitor progress, and help learners stay on track toward their objectives. The role combines teaching expertise with digital learning and requires strong communication in a fully distributed environment. • C2-level or proficient/native-level Khmer language ability.
• Advanced English proficiency, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional online environment.
• At least two years of experience teaching a foreign language is preferred.
• A recognized language teaching certificate, such as TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, DELTA, or an equivalent qualification, is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate learners and build positive relationships remotely.
• Ability to personalize teaching approaches according to different learner profiles, goals, and proficiency levels.
• Strong organizational skills and reliability when managing online lessons and learner follow-up.
• Comfortable using a webcam and digital tools for virtual teaching.
• Reliable, high-speed internet connection and suitable home-working equipment, including a laptop or desktop computer, webcam, and headset.
• Willingness to teach online through both individual and group sessions is advantageous.
